Job Description

We are seeking a Marketing Automation & digital communication solutions manager at Ipsos.  Reporting to the Head of Digital Communications, you will join our Global Marketing & Communications team and collaborate very closely with Ipsos’ Marketing & Communications stakeholders worldwide.

A.      Marketo Application Owner

The candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Marketo platform (the world's largest marketing automation platform) as a key solution to orchestrate and execute campaigns to acquire, nurture, and retain customers. It will represent approximately 60% of the job.

The platform aims to manage our clients, prospects, journalists, and employees database, and to drive effective marketing automation, lead generation, and customer engagement initiatives.

This role requires an understanding of Marketo’s capabilities, technical skills, and a mindset to align marketing automation efforts with business objectives.

The key responsibilities are the following:

1.      Marketo Administration:

-          Manage and maintain the health and efficiency of the Marketo platform.

-          Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement new features (including set-up, tests, and training).

-          Ensure data integrity and compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).

2.      Campaign Management and Reporting

-          Assist users in the design, execution, and optimization of email marketing campaigns, landing pages, and automated workflows.

-          Help users in analyzing campaign performance metrics and providing actionable insights for improvement.

-           Contribute to the improvement of new leads management.

-          Develop a regular dashboard of users and campaign performance.

3.      Integration and Data Management:

-          Oversee the integration of Marketo with other systems such as website and Salesforce and Go to Webinar.

-          Manage data imports, exports, and synchronization to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

4.      Training and Support:

-          Industrialize and improve internal processes by transferring Marketo support activities to the India-based support team.

-          Provide training and support to users on Marketo best practices and usage.

-          Create and update documentation, including process guidelines and user manuals.

-          Stay current with Marketo updates, new features, and industry trends to continuously improve the platform’s effectiveness.

5.      Strategy and Collaboration:

-          Work closely with the Global Content Director to align Marketo strategies with overall business and marketing goals.

-          Collaborate with Global and Local MarCom teams and IT to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.

-          Work closely with the India-based support team in charge of managing database and campaign integrity, implementing specific campaigns, and uploading contact lists.

-          Collaborate with our Marketo Support Provider for the resolution of functional and technical issues.

-          Work closely with Procurement for Marketo contract renewal/switch to a new vendor as the Marketo contract comes to an end in June 2025.

B.      Manager of digital communication solutions 

The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase awareness and adoption of digital communication solutions. This role involves creating educational materials, conducting training sessions, gathering user feedback, and continuously improving communication tools and strategies.

The candidate will:

-          Engage with employees to understand their needs

-          Create a roadmap outlining key initiatives and timelines

-          Design and produce educational materials, including user guides and tutorials

-          Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on the benefits and functionalities of communication solutions

-          Manage the end-to-end process of purchase orders and invoices for digital communications solutions

C.     Project manager for the implementation of a digital solution for the Universal Registration Document

The candidate will be responsible for leading and executing the project of developing a digital solution for the URD, and maintaining the platform once implemented.

This role involves:

-          Project Planning and Execution: Develop a project plan outlining all phases and milestones, ensure all project activities are aligned with requirements and goals, manage project timelines, ensure all deliverables are met on schedule, identify risks, and monitor them.

-          Team coordination: Collaborate with all stakeholders, including the editor and the integrator, Legal, Finance, IT, and Marketing, to gather necessary inputs and resources, assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, monitor their progress and provide support as needed, set regular team meetings to track progress and ensure clear communication  

-          Stakeholder engagement: ensure that stakeholders' requirements are met, facilitate reviews, and obtain necessary approvals at each project stage

-          Interface with Editor/Integrator: Act as the primary interface with the editor/integrator during the implementation of the platform, ensure clear and consistent communication with the editor to align on project requirements, timelines, and deliverables, set regular meetings with the editor/integrator to review progress, address any issues, and ensure alignment on objectives

Preferred Experience

-          Master’s degree in marketing/business/information technology, or a related field with at least 5 years of professional experience. If no IT background, have an appetite for information systems.

-          Strong understanding of marketing automation concepts and data management, lead generation, and customer lifecycle management.

-          Strong experience with Marketo or another Marketing automation platform, including administration, campaign management, and integrations.

-          Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to propose and implement innovative solutions and enhancements

-          Excellent Time Management and Organizational Skills: ability to manage priorities and organize tasks independently. Demonstrates great rigor in project management and execution. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

-          Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

-          Fluent in English:  ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English, essential for collaboration with international teams.
