Descriptif du poste

The EMEA BHT GMU (Global Modeling Unit Brand Health Tracking Europe Middle East Africa) department is looking for a Senior Data Analyst F/M, Marketing Sciences in our Paris office.
This department is in charge of carrying out advanced analytics to provide concrete and actionable recommendations to our international clients in varying sectors. More specifically, our focus is on diagnosing brand performance over time and the effectiveness of communication strategies in driving brand performance.
The scope of our business covers mainly Europe, Middle East and Africa, but we work closely with a global network of marketing science and data science analysts.
This position integrates both statistical know-how, data expertise and marketing knowledge. This position will work closely with the Head of the EMEA GMU, and also with colleagues within our broader Global GMU network, and other cross-functional teams in an international environment.

Responsabilities:

Hard skills
• Conduct statistical/analytical models (e.g. Bayes Nets, clustering techniques, random forest). This may be performed using software (e.g. SPSS, SAS), scripts (e.g. Python, R), proprietary platforms or macros.
• Conduct analysis of unstructured text data. This can take the form of writing rule-based algorithms using software, executing python scripts written for NLP tasks, or utilizing proprietary text classification platforms.
Ideally, you will also:
• Write/use scripts by leveraging open source codes/communities (e.g. github, stackoverflow) - to build analytical models, help improve execution efficiencies or visualizing data.

Soft skills
• Consistently ensure the timely delivery of error free work
• Conduct internal training for client service teams so that they can confidently sell our solutions to our end clients
• Support internal and external clients in the design and appropriate application of the various analytical approaches in our toolkit
• Good communication skills and ability to:

  • present data findings in an easy-to-understand manner to internal and external clients less familiar with statistical techniques,
    • explain your conclusions and the strategic implications for the client. • Create and deliver both formal and informal presentations and explanations of study results to internal and external clients

Profil recherché

• ENSAI, ENSAE graduate or Master 2 degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Applied Econometrics, Social Sciences or Quantitative Marketing.

• At least 2 years’ experience, ideally in a Market Research company or a company that offers advanced analytics.

• Good understanding of the principles of market research (e.g. questionnaire design, data tabulations).
• You are proficient in at least one of the following two languages: Python, R.

• Working knowledge of SPSS.

• Experience in text analysis a bonus.

• Experience with various data sources - structured / unstructured, internal / external - a bonus.

• Fluent English and French requested, one or several other languages a bonus.
